Hi. I have the same issue - picture looked good in stl creator but after loading it into bambu studio it was no longer recognizeable. I printed it anyway but the outcome just looked the same like in bambu studio - not recognizeable. Any ideas? I got the bambu a1 mini.

This is how it should be: in the slicer you will not see a recognizable image. The strings are located at different heights, and a strictly top view is required so that all the threads come together in one picture.

I put the disc on the monitor and turned off the lights in the room. If the light falls on the disc not only from behind, but also from the front - this front light reflects off the threads and reduces recognition.

The best color of plastic for printing is dark shades (not white, not black, but gray, dark gray, or most colored plastics)

This program finds the most optimal arrangement of 400-700 strings to reproduce the image. However, 400 strings are too few to make complex photos recognizable. Therefore, large recognizable objects turn out well on such string art. For example If you are making a face - zoom in as much as possible, crop the image to leave the eyes and mouth

I fully share your concern for computer security. I get asked this question about EXE security very often. Here's what I have to explain to people:
1) Over 2.5 years, my programs have been ed about 10,000 times on Cults and about 20,000 times on other platforms. You can read the comments on these platforms to make sure that people have not had security issues.
2) After ing the program, you can check it on the virustotal.com platform. There you can check any EXE file for free with 70 of the most powerful and popular antiviruses. You will be able to make sure that 70 of the best antivirus programs guarantee security of my programs.
3) The Cults platform cares about its reputation, so the Cults s are interested in my programs being safe and personally check my programs (that's why they are not published right away).
4) I have already released more than 15 programs and plan to release another 20-30 programs. Therefore, I am more interested than anyone in a crystal reputation in order to realize my goal: every 3D printing person should have my programs)

In addition, programs in the form of EXE have advantages over other options (for example, online versions or programs in Python):
1) You can use the program for decades. All you will need to use the program in 20-50 years is just a computer with Windows. While online services disappear in a year or two.
2) Processing is completely local (the program does not use the Internet). You can process confidential and intimate photos.
3) A program in the form of a compiled EXE file (in C or Pascal) works about 60 times faster than if it were written in an interpreted language like Python. This 60x gain in speed allows for the implementation of more powerful algorithms, which is what makes "amazing" programs.

Before you, another person wrote to me that there is such a problem that some lines are not attached to the ring. I'm trying to figure out what the reason is. Could it be that if the final number of lines turns out to be more than 700, then only 700 are attached, and the rest hang in the air?

I'm not changing any parameters. I always use the generator's default settings. And the default maximum number is 700. I thought it might be something related to my slicer.

What if you reduce the "Max number of strings" parameter from 700 to 500-600. The program tries to split 700 lines into layers of 10-20 lines. And perhaps too many layers are required for complex drawings.

littleun2 I bought a new printer from Bambulab. An A1. And it seems to print normally now. I didn't buy the printer because of this, obviously 😁, but it was something I tested to see what happened on the new printer. So what I can conclude is that the program is fine, but my Ender 3 V2 Neo needs some adjustment to be able to print correctly.
