Sorry alles OK
Yeah…worked ok, but there is still a slight design flaw. Pulled down the old part that had been there for 7 or 8 years. PLA held up well, but it is amazing to see what we considered to be good quality output from a printer seven years ago versus today.
I agree that these are great designs. I just found this site a few days ago. Interesting stuff.
I noticed that you guys were talking about a brand called ziro. I’ll have to try it.
That is a very nice look on the poop bucket. The funny thing is that when I told everyone when we were setting up the X1C that we needed to design a poop bucket, everyone laughed. I was originally going to design one, but your design is really good. And the idea for the desiccant holder is brilliant. No offense, but why are you only charging “pennies“? Not trying to make you change the prices, but I would bet people would pay 10 times that or.more.
Anyway… Question that I’m not sure should be asked here or somehow to the site s. I have an X1C that I bought myself for home. Obviously, that is “personal use“. I am also in the process of setting up a lab on the Yorktown (CV10). I had them purchase three X1Cs and an X1E. The only use of the printers will be to make parts for the ship and for the education department to use somehow. They are technically a state agency, but they are also a museum and a nonprofit. We’re talking pennies here, but I want to do the ethically correct thing. Is it allowable for them to here and purchase things like this for their printers? It isn’t really “personal use“ but is also not commercial.
Hey SFFJR, Thanks for your kind replies!
I charge pennies as realistically, I'm not here to rip people off - I actually also think Bambu should've supplied these files with the printer to be honest.
I run a product design company as my full time job, so the money from cults3d is not really necessary - but it still encourages people to pay designers (which is lacking in this industry unfortunately!). Also to add to that, the Poop Bucket is £1.25 with 1.3k s. I think charging pennies and increasing the amount of s and spreading good design is better than high profit for me. Also these designs don't take me long to do at all.
Basically I just would rather help the community! :)
Regarding the Yorktown CV10, I'd be happy to give them written permission if they send me an email. (Just so I can track who I have given permission to). Also means I can help in any way if possible!
My best email is [email protected]
Thanks SFFJR!
Regards
Mikyle
Appreciate it. I’m going over there tomorrow to test a new version of one of my access point beam clamps and to see how the refit of the compartment is going where the printers will reside. I will chase down the IT director and ask him to you. I’d publish some of my parts here, but I don’t think there is much of an audience for designs for an 82 year old carrier…considering there are only four of them left. :-)
That sounds fantastic, thanks very much!
Best of luck with your clamps and testing!
Hi,
Great design! My question is it silver you choose from Ziro Silk PLA?
Thanks for sharing!
Al
Sorry I see the answer below :(
Would this work on the P1S?
Yes :)
I've tried to slice your 3mf files but bambustudio gives me the following warning: "It seems object POOPY_SHOE.STEP has floating cantilever. Please re-orient the object or enable generation."
That must be something new in the new version of the software as that warning didn't come up in the past. Did you try printing it yet? I would suggest it is fine as it's printed fine for hundreds of s - let me know how you get on.
Which colour is the ziro silk?
- Silver
- Grey silver
- Black silver
Hi, Grey Silver is what i used
Hola, en unos días me llega mi impresora Bambu Lab x1c y voy a descargar tu deposito de residuos para la impresora.. necesito saber exactamente que filamento utilizaste para que sea del mismo color que el aluminio de la impresora.. gracias
