Hey, cool. Always extra nice to see printed versions of my models. I've been meaning to make more of the Robo Samurai

(a whole bunch in fact. They're sort of my buffer project. I can knock out a new one in a couple of hours whenever I'm working on some other project that won't be released in a while. Kinda to keep me relevant in the algorithms).

Good to know there are people out there who find them worthwile.

Hallo,

It's been a while since I ed the product* in question. But from what I can tell, the map version with the town names IS included in the product, and should be available for to you. I experienced no issues ing it from the product page myself a couple of minutes ago.

The .stl file in question is named "Map with grid and town names onepiece", and should be included in a .zip archive named "Onepiece maps and frame zip".

I can send the files to you manually if you are having issues ing them. But in order to do so you'll first have to provide me with an E-mail adress for me to send the files to. Cults does not have an internal messaging system that allows transferring files.

Hello,

thanks for the quick reply.
So I'm fine with the map, but I'm concerned about the "Scandinavia" lettering on the bottom of the picture frame. I can't find this anywhere in the files.
Would it therefore be possible to send me this file by email?
[email protected]

Thank you very much and have a nice Christmas time
Best regards
Hartl Benjamin

I see.
The "Scandinavia" nametag does indeed seem to be missing, far as I can tell.
I'm away from home at the moment, but I'll the nametag .stl to the product (and send a copy to your E-mail address) as soon as I'm back and have access to my computer and softwares again. Should probably be within a day or two.

Regards
Patrik Johansson / Sharedog Miniatures

That‘s nice and no problem. I can wait two days. Thank you very much.
I am happy that you can help me, i like the map
Have a nice day

Sent a file archive to the e-mail adress you provided. The included files should also be available from the product page from now on.

Thank you very much

Hey I was wondering I would love to buy the Carl Gustave sub machine guns. Love those. Is there a way I can buy just them?

You mean without purchasing the entire Swedish Peacetime Firearms pack?

Sure, why not. I've made a quick of the Carl Gustaf m/45 models as a separate product. See link below. Half the cost of the larger firearms pack.

https://cults3d.emulatorsite.com/en/3d-model/game/carl-gustaf-m45-sub-machine-gun

Yes. I only need the Carl Gustave sub machine guns

Thank you very much for the Carl Gustave sub machine guns!

Will you ever do The Golden Girls house? If so, I will be all in with that.

I might. The idea was originally to make a whole bunch of famous sit com sets (Friends, Seinfeld, Fresh Prince et cetera). And I guess it still is - but like most of my large projects, lead times tend to stretch out into years. And The Golden Girls is probably a bit down the list even within the framework of said project.

Actually, the REAL original idea was to make a boardgame where you play as characters in sit coms, and try to score points by making jokes (working title is "Punchline"...). Each session is one season of the show, and by the end of each season players either get top billing, remain in the show, or get written out. And the character stats! Oh, the character stats...

Needless to say, Punchline is currently in development hell. There are, uh, issues with the ruleset. And with copyrights.

Anyway, my point is Golden Girls actually fits quite neatly into the above game concept, since a bunch of old ladies fill a niche in a lineup otherwise oversaturated with 30-somethings. So I guess it is not as far down the list of prioritized sets as one might think. But still, I doubt I'll get around to deg it for at least a year or so.

That would be awesome, Golden Girls have a cult following. I think it would sell very well. Please let me know when you start on it.

Hi, i have an issue with the hockey players teams. The size of the knight team is perfect but the orcs are smaller by like 20%.

Despite this, the distance between the stick and the foot is the same.

So, if i just boost the orcs to 120% size, to fit with the knights, the distance stick foot will no longer be good.

Hello Arnaudczaja. Thank you for ing me.
The two older table hockey teams (i.e the "original" human team and the orc team) are smaller than the newer teams (at the time of writing this, that means the knight team and the samurai teams. But all teams released in the future will adhere to the larger size.)

The larger size matches the size of the STIGA models more closely - the orc team and human team are much too small.

It's been quite some time since I released the orc team, but from what I I simply never bothered to update them to the new standard size since that would entail redrawing the models. This is why the product description for the team does NOT say that the various 3d-printable teams are compatible with each other. Only that they are compatible with a STIGA table hockey table, which they are.

I can look into adjusting the size of the orc team* - I suppose it might be a good idea to avoid misunderstandings in the future. I'll get back to you in a couple of days. But I can't promise that the orc team can be properly updated - they're old models, and I'm not sure I even have the original model assets on my computer anymore.

Regards
Patrik Johansson / Sharedog Miniatures

*Free of charge of course.

thank you for the response. It will be wonderful if you succeed in adjusting the size.

I've changed the size of the players and ed them to the product (link below).
They should now be available to you for on the product page. The new files are named "enlarged 2024". Let me know if you have trouble ing them.
Turns out re-sizing them wasn't a huge deal, so if you want them adjusted further size-wise, just let me know.

Hello is any way to make the tracks functional? i mean how can i modify it?

Hello Humbertoestrella. Sorry I'm a bit late to reply - I missed your message.

Which product are you referring to? Is it the American Tank tracks (see link below)?

If so, I'm not entirely sure I understand your question. The included tracks are intended to be printed basically as is - the ones with filled in backs are specifically intended for smaller scales, like 28mm. Then you put the printed 28mm tracks on a 28mm tank of your choice. You'll have to determine for yourself if the tracks will actually work with the tank model in question.

The possible exception is the empty tank tread loops, with no components inside them. How customers use them is completely up to them. But one suggestion is the following:

•Load both an empty tread loop into your slicer program.
•Then load any selection of the included components into the slicer. Sprockets, rollers et cetera.
•Then, while still in the slicer, position the components inside the loop. Adjust their scale as necessary. You can create a custom tank track this way, with -for example- several sprockets instead of one, upside down idler wheels et cetera. Improvise to your heart's content.
•Then, once you've created a custom track, select slice for all included models and then print the finished custom track.

Depending on what slicer program you are using you may get varying results, seeing as the above is a slightly non-regulation way of doing things. But my experience is this usually works.
You can also print the empty loops and the components separately, and then assemble the printed pieces. You'll have to cut some of the inside track teeth off with a pair of pliers, but that's also a viable option.

I love the idea of your magic mirror; have you considered themed frames like a Gothic frame for the vampire? It would go well with a ghost, a vampire bride, werewolf, etc, hint hint!

Hello desertdiver. Thank you for ing me. Sorry I've been a bit late to reply.

To answer your question:
Yes, I've considered making quite a few different versions of the magic mirror. Gothic, austere, Art Deco, Sci fi...

But honestly, it is currently very low on a very long list of priorities. I'm having trouble finding the time to even make monster options for the one mirror I have, much less making entirely new mirror versions.
Which is why there are currently only 4 (?) monster options for the mirror, instead of the 30-ish I envisioned I'd have published by now. Basically, the original idea was to take almost my entire model catalogue, and convert them for use with the mirror. It seemed quick and easy. Which, it turns out, it isn't...

So sorry, with the lead times for my projects I don't think I'll get around to making optional mirror frames for the foreseeable future. There will be more monster options coming, though - I just need to wrap up a major commissioned project I'm currently working on, and then more mirror monsters are right next in line.

Hello!
I just bought the Renault FT Tank Turrets, if it's possible, could I get a Leman Russ compatible version? Cheers!

Hi, I just purchased your awesome DungeonQuest Revised Edition Tiles. They look fantastic. However, I did not see the Treasure Chamber tile. I see from the pictures on the store page that it is included in the "original version" and assumed it would be included in this one as well. Did it get missed? Thanks in advance.

Hello Rodleary. Thank you for ing me.

The treasure chamber should definitely be included in the tileset. As should the corner tower (i.e starting points) tiles. Far as I can tell, neither were included prior to you notifying me. So that looks like a huge mistake on my part. Terribly sorry about that.
I've ed the treasure hoard and tower tiles to the product in question (link below). You should be able to them by simply clicking the button on the product page. If that does not work, please me again and provide an e-mail address, and I'll send you the tiles manually.

Let me know if there are any other products you are interested in in the future. I'll probably be able to sell them to you at a discount, or simply gift them to you for free, as compensation.

https://cults3d.emulatorsite.com/en/3d-model/game/dungeonquest-revised-edition-3d-tileset

Patrik Johansson / Sharedog Miniatures

Thank you Patrik. No additional compensation nessessary. Everything you sell is so fairly priced anyway. Keep making great stuff.

Hello, resolution of this stl file is ok For 1/20th scale print please ? Thanks 😉👍

i ask for "Panzer I" turret in 28mm

Hello Vicky68.
Thank you for ing me. Could you specify which product you are referring to? Preferably by providing a link to the product.

Regards
Patrik Johansson / Sharedog Miniatures

Nevermind.
The Panzer one turret is intended to print at 28mm scale, also known as 1/64 scale. So you should be able to print it just fine at 1/20 scale. It will probably look a bit rough around the edges at that scale though, and you will have to set the scale in your slicer software manually.

Love the Plague Riders! Any chance we can get them without the shields? Particularity the female riders: 13 & 14

Hello Princesskushana.
Thank you for ing me. Removing the shields from the nuns should be possible. It may be some time before I get around to it though. I'll be busy with my day job for another couple of weeks, and won't have much time to devote to 3d deg. And after that, finishing up a previously commissioned project takes priority.
I'll make a note of your request though. Once things settles down this autumn I will put some effort into complying with a number of requests made over the summer.

Hi Buddy,

I was looking at the tank demons, and while they are in the right scale. I'm curious roughly how big they are? I'd be looking for about the size of the Kataphron Servitors from the ech? The halftrack dudes.

Thanks,
Will

Hello Will.
Thank you for ing me. And sorry for taking so long to reply - I'm preoccupied with my day job this summer, and only check my Cults inbox sporadically.

Regarding the size/scale of the Tank Demons: The size of the models are not set in stone. You can set any print size you want in your slicer program prior to printing. For example, if you want the demon to be 28mm from track to head, you just adjust the model to that size. Or if you want it to be 54mm, or 75mm, or anything in between, you adjust the model to THAT size. Consequently, if you know the exact measures of the Kataphron Servitors, you can set the Tank Demons to match those measures.

The 28mm recommendation in the product description is only based on what approximate size is ideal for the models, where they are not so small that they become delicate and no details show up, and not so large that they start looking crude.

FYI, when you first load the model .stl files into your slicer program, the default size of the assembled Tank Demon is 5.5cm height, and 4 cm track width. But like I said, you can easily change those measurements.

Hope that made sense to you, and that I did not misunderstand your question.

Thanks for the info thays great!

Hi, I'm sorry Di I not mention what model, it was the Soviet big wheel TSAR but its a license thing I think that's what's more expensive for commercial use? Is this the same that Copper state models are doing?

Certain models are available under more than one type of licence, yes. And the price points are set accordingly - a model sold under a private use licence can cost 5 USD for example, but the same model sold under Royalty Free Licence/CC BY-ND* can cost around 20-35 USD.
I usually mark the commercial use product image with a "Royalty Free Licence" sticker, so one can tell the private use and commercial use versions apart.

Regarding Copper State Models: They do indeed seem to sell a Tsar Tank kit. But their kit and mine are NOT the same product. We've just happened to have both designed model kits based on the historic original. There are other kits sold by manufacturers like Zebrano as well - the Tsar Tank is a quite popular design.

*There are many different types of commercial licences, and they also vary from platform to platform. So ALWAYS read the fine print. The commercial licences I use on Cults and CGTrader are NOT identical, for example.

Hi what's the difference to this and the 2 dollar one on yeggi it's offering at 50% ,off from 5 dollars? This is so cool!

Hello Scottishbonsai.
Thank you for ing me.

I'm afraid I can't tell which specific product you are referring to without a link.

Regardless, if I were to guess I'd say Yeggi* is showing you one of my product sold on a site other than Cults.

I use multiple online marketplaces, including CGTrader and MyMiniFactory. In many cases Cults, CGTrader and MMF all have the same product, only ed to their specific platform. There are slight variations in the set price, depending on what commission fee the platform applies et cetera. And obviously, from time to time certain special offers may apply to one specific platform, but not to another.
It sounds like Yeggi may be showing you one of my products sold on CGTrader (that platform often uses discount campaigns, plus I donate a portion of my income to UNICEF Ukraine via CGTrader's donation function - which is often automatically ed for in the price spec). But again, I'm only guessing.

If you are worried you are purchasing from a sneaky bootleg reseller, feel free to send me a link to the discounted product so that I can it is actually sold by me. If not, just go ahead and purchase the product from the source providing you with the best offer. And congratulations on your great deal... ;)

*Yeggi itself is only an index site, not an actual retailer.

Hi there. Your Browning M1919 is described as '28mm scale' . Do you mean that it is 1:28th scale or 1:60th scale (ie as 6ft human figure would be 28mm high). I want to scale the model to 1/72nd - which I know you do not recommend, but my resin printer seems to cope well enough. I need to know the scale ratio in order to apply it to my slicing software.
Thank you

Hello Teeell, and thank you for ing me.

By 28mm scale I basically meant "adapted for use with 28mm scale miniatures". Warhammer Imperial Guardsmen et cetera.

So the answer is 1:60 scale, or very close to it. NOT 1:28.

Good luck printing.

Regards
Patrik Johansson / Sharedog Miniatures

Thank you for your response, much appreciated. I am going to have a go at resin printing the parts at 1/72

Hi there,
I am currently looking into models to put together an army for the Warring States period and I really like your Ashigaru Musket Regiment. Will there be other units in the future, like Ashigaru with Yari (spears) or Yumi (bows)?

Hello Dermarf.
Thank you for ing me.
I've toyed with the idea, yes. FYI, I was planning on doing all kinds of variants of the Ashigaru models down the line. Chief among them being a sci-fi variant, with laser rifles instead of muskets and so on. So if you're requesting a few regiments with spears, bows et cetera, that request is pretty well-timed.

If you want to, I can bump up making Yari/Yumi wielding Ashigaru variants to the top of the priority list. That would mean I'll get to work on them right after I get through with another minor project I'm currently working on.

I can't give you an exact timeframe, but expect another week at the very least until I can publish another Ashigaru regiment. Also, don't expect any major alterations to the basic models - I'll probably just swap out musket for whatever other weapon they are supposed to use, and alter their poses accordingly when necessary. Maybe make another head or two -that kind of thing.

If you have any specific requests for weapons et cetera, please let me know (I've already noted down Yari & Yumi).

If you want any major alterations like substantial changes to armor, or you want the ashigaru/commanders to ride horses et cetera, I'm open to discussing it. But that would involve you paying me a commission fee for the effort.

Regards

Patrik Johansson / Sharedog Miniatures

Hi Patrik,
thanks for your reply. I was just looking for uniform blocks of Ashigaru, to add to my collection, and those would really fit the bill. I will start off with the Musket Regiment and wait for your further designs.

Best regards and keep up the good work!

Hi
I like your M2 turret. Do you plan to design an idler wheel for both M1 and M2 pre-WW2 US tanks?

Hello Betinhopl.
Thank you for ing me.
I wasn't planning on deg an idler wheel (I didn't even KNOW what an idler wheel was, until you asked me...).
I have loose plans to make a couple of historical tanks down the line, to complement the ongoing tank turret series. But that's pretty far in the future - at least a couple of months or so.
I do sometimes design stuff based on specific requests from customers. When you say "M1/M2 idler wheel", do you really mean JUST the idler wheel itself? If so, I can probably design and publish one before the end of the coming week - it doesn't look like a whole lot of work. Is that something you're interested in?

Regards

Patrik Johansson / Sharedog Miniatures

Thank you for your answer! Well, I have both M1 and M2 but not complete - just hulls and I need to somehow reconstruct suspension. I planned to use other wheels and tracks from M3 Stuart and only idler wheel was different. So an idler wheel is a minimum plan for me, the whole suspension would be of course better. My scale is 1/72

Well, here's what I think might be the most logical thing to do, at least from my perspective:

I think it best if I simply design an entire set of tracks for both the M1 and M2 (tank treads, rollers, sprockets et cetera).
That's more work obviously. But if I'm to publish it as a publicly available and commercial product, it makes more sense if the product includes an entire track assembly and not just certain parts of it.

I can also include the constituent parts of the track assembly as separate model files in the product. That way you'll be able to print either the entire track as one model, or just certain components like the idler, vertical volute spring suspension and so on, depending on your need.

I'll aim for deg the tracks to a quality fit for at least 28mm scale (my usual benchmark), but adapting them to 1/72 scale will probably just be a matter of changing their size in the slicer program prior to printing. Worst case scenario I'll simply include another set of model files adapted to 1/72 scale in the same product.

Timewise, I still guesstimate I can have it done in about a week's time. It doesn't look like a huge project. Knock on wood.

I think the price for said product -once published- would be set to 3, maybe 4 USD at most. Would you be prepared to pay another 3 USD on top of that in commission fee? Setting the total cost for you at 7 USD.
You won't have to pay anything in advance - once the product is published, if you're still interested by then, you simply purchase it like you would any other product on Cults3D. I just need to know there's any point in me going ahead with the project at all.

Regards

Patrik Johansson / Sharedog Miniatures

Of course I would, that sounds like a good price! I think you would get some clients - there are no M1/M2 available in 1/72 at all!

All right then. I'll get to work. I'll send you a notification once the tracks/track parts product has been published.

FYI, I'll -primarily- be using the side-view illustrations of the two tank models on Tank Encyclopedia as reference. See links below. If there's anything specific with the tracks you'd like drawn differently from the illustrations, feel free to let me know.

Love your new Maxim guns. Yes, would be interested in pre-ed for resin printing. From your description, it seems you are doing FDM. Given the scale of these things, resin would be the way to go. Would it be possible for you to include the ammo belts as a separate STL file, so they can be printed and added, say to an assistant gunner feeding the weapon? Keep up the great work!

Hello RBKPYE.
Thank you for ing me. I've ed pre-ed versions of all the models included in the Maxim Gun model kit to the original product. See link below.

FYI, I used treelike s, 1mm post diameter, no raft. There's an image in the product image gallery that shows one of the preed models.

Also added a couple of models of ammunition separated from the gun itself. There's a single cartridge model, 2 straight ammo belt models (an un-reinforced version, and a reinforced version that prints a little bit better at smaller scales). And finally an ammo belt in the exact same shape as the one originally attached to some of the gun models, only separated.
The ammo models are pre-ed, but they can pretty much be printed wihout s as long as you don't scale them up to several times their default scale. Note that you may HAVE to increase their scale somewhat for them to print properly - at their default scale (set to fit the default scale of the maxim guns) they are very small and delicate.

Hopefully that helps.
