Thanks, slicing...

Ice Dragon requires s.

Hola quiero hacer un cargador de base para mí robot Vector vi que hicieron uno similar para cosmo podrían decirme por favor cómo lo hicieron de los agradezco mucho

Do you think you will make more pose for the Drake of shadow of war ?

Hey MagniModels,

Hope you're doing great! Just wanted to drop a quick message to say thanks again for all the awesome work you’ve been doing on the Subnautica models, they’re seriously so cool, and it’s been a lot of fun printing them.

I had a small suggestion about the Shadow Leviathan. Would it be possible to beef up the leg ts a bit or print seperare so the layer lines could go in a stronger way? They seem to snap kinda easily when they’re under stress, so a little extra strength there would go a long way.

Also, was wondering if you’ve had a chance to check out the Chelicerate model again? It’d be super handy if the spikes could be separate pieces for printing, would definitely help with Strength a ton!

And just out of curiosity, have you been working on any of the other Subnautica creatures? Would love to hear what’s in the pipeline if so!

Anyway, thanks again for all your work — it’s really appreciated!

I’ll re slice again and look but when I looked before it seemed that there were problems. I’ll re slice and would love to show you my slice. I’ll look at what you’re saying. How can I send you an image

Awesome, I'd love to see how it looks like for you. You can simply to https://imgur.com/ and send me the link after here.

tentacle. The chain connection has almost nothing there for it to stay secure during articulation. Some of them just come off and have to be glued which of course ruins the articulation. . One of the bigger body parts had an issue so I glued it. I have tried two different brands of material. No silk pla. I just use normal pla. Sunlu brand which has always been a successful brand pla.

That is definitely odd, even the smallest end tentacle link has two walls to keep it in place.

Does it slice properly? The walls connecting between the links should be 2 walls thick in the slicer.
(here's how it should look even towards the last 3 links: https://imgur.com/a/HHdDnqA)

I'm assuming this is at the default scale and wasn't scaled down at all. I've seen settings such as "Detect Thin Walls" on BambuStudio make things worse.
Might be a stray setting on the slicer being problematic if it's not already default.
If you don't notice any issues when slicing and everything looks like it should, the only other thing that could cause this would be under-extrusion issues. Upping the flow or finding horizontal expansion setting (or its equivalent in the slicer you're using) might help.

LAYEREDSOLID
Sorry, I clicked on you next to the model name so I thought it was already telling you. it’s gonna be the Subnautica gargantuan model🙂

Which parts are you having issues with? Head tentacles/Body parts? And are you by any chance using PLA silk?

So I have ed this model and have printed it multiple times at different layer heights. The linked pieces in different areas are just falling apart due to there not being much per the sliced file. I have printed for a few years now so I don't know what to do to make your model print properly.

Hi, sorry to hear you're having issues. It would be helpful if you mentioned which model is giving you trouble to start with.

Hey!

I hope you're doing well! I had a couple of ideas I wanted to share regarding the Chelicerate print. I was thinking that the long spikes on top might be better as separate pieces that could be glued on afterward. That way, the layer lines would be stronger, and they’d be less likely to snap. Let me know what you think!

Also, I’ve been getting a lot of comments from people asking for a Gary Fish model. Personally, I’d love to see a Crab Crawler as well—it would be an awesome addition!

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Heyhey! Yeah, I the Chelicerate being a bit of a stringing stress test with the spikes. I made it when I was still getting used to modelling and tried to stick as close to the original design instead of paying much mind to how it'd print. I could increase the thickness on the spikes to start with, and eventually in the future have them print separately and slot in.

I didn't really have plans for other tiny guys so far, but I could add it to the list for things to make! Probably sometime after I get around to making the Frozen Leviathan.

Awesome! a bit of extra thickness would definitely help for now, much appreciated! Ill see if i can play around with the model and separate it also.
No worries about the delay for the little guys, the Frozen Leviathan is also something people are asking for, so absolutely go for it first!

Thanks for the speedy response!

Hello!
I hope all is well.

I recently purchased the Snow Stalker and noticed that the leg ts connecting to the body—specifically, the two curved parts(on the legs) that interlock with the rotating body t—are quite weak. Would it be possible to modify the ts so they can be glued instead? As the rotating body parts already provide a good range of movement, so this change would significantly strengthen the connection when attaching the legs to the body, making it much more secure.

I'm not to sure if the other Snow Stalkers have the same issue, but i will definitely be buying them at one point.

Super cool model and very well detailed! Cant wait to print more!

Sorry you're having issues! I'll look into making the limbs gluable.

Legend! Thank youuuu! Super awesome models.

I see the new glueable model, Speedy as always! thank you so much! Absolute legend!

Keep up the amazing work!

Hey again! Hope you're doing well and that sales are thriving! I have another suggestion for you, if you're interested. A lot of people have been asking for the Ice Worm from Below Zero—it would be amazing if you could create it! I'm still loving your models, and so are thousands of others! Keep up the amazing work!

Hi! Hope you're doing well too!
Ice Worm was my third Leviathan I made.
It's on the website: https://cults3d.emulatorsite.com/en/3d-model/art/articulated-ice-worm-leviathan-subnautica

O yes! hahah, I've literally look at this multiple times. thank you for your fast reply!

I bought the Prawn suit model, and tried printing it in SLA, but the ts exploded when i tried putting them together. Is it possible for you to make a version with higher tolerances?
Thank you!

Hi! Is this for V2 or V1?

I was using the V2. Does the V1 have different tolerances? then i will try it again soon. Thank you

Just bought your Boneshark model. Can't wait to print it. Do i need to turn on s or should it be ok to print in place? it gives me the floating error and especially on the one with the articulating jaw as the bottom half of the jaw is missing on that print. Thanks. Keep up the great work.

You'll need to enable s on the one with the articulating jaw, otherwise it'll fail.

  • 1 j’aime

Ok I thought so for the jaw part, it wants to put s all along the body as well for the spine. Are those needed as well for a sucessfull print?

Only the head, automatic s tend to over-do it, especially for articulated prints as they get between the links. You should be able to select which regions you can manually depending on the slicer you're using.

Do you paint your figures yourself? What colour do you print them in to be painted?

Hi, yes I do. It usually depends on the creature, but if the creature has a solid color like black/white/etc, I'll print in that color and then paint in the details, though if I don't have that color, I'll print in any color and just paint it over entirely.

  • 1 j’aime

Thanks. I also think it would be nice if you made a Seatruck. You could make its so you can connect different modules. I would definitely buy it.

You don't have any discount codes by chance? I want to get the gargantuan leviathan and the prawn suit for my son. We just got a brand new Bambu A1 and want to use your prints to test out the AMS.

I just purchased the reef back leviathan. Any chance you have a Bambu 3mf profile file for it?
Or suggestions for s?

Bambu profile added.
They print as they stand, I just painted s underneath and on the sides of it to keep it from wobbling and falling over, they're very minimal overall.

Hey again! I'm not sure if you take suggestions, but a lot of people in my comments have been asking for the hoverfish. I know my audience would love it! I'm really impressed with your work so far, and so are the viewers. Keep up the consistent s, I can't wait for the next one!

Hello! Hoverfish is definitely in the list of things left to make :)

Hello! Ive subscribed to your patreon! im super excited to start selling. I've included you as the full author of the digital files in my listings. Is there anything else i would need to do. The listings are currently not active but they will be very soon!

Hi! Thank you so much! So long as the few rules in the license are followed, you're good to go! Good luck!

Hello! I have purchased your Prawn Suit STL and I am planning to buy the Ghost leviathan. However, I wanted to know what acrylic paint colors you used for each set. Please let me know.

Hi! For Prawn Suit I used
Dark Blue,
Metallic Pearl White,
Orange.
As for the Ghost, I printed in Transparent PLA, then used washes (mixed with water) of Light Blue and highlighted with dry-brushing an even lighter Blue,
Bronze Metallic for details and Yellow for eyes.

Hello again! I should be selling some stuff soon, once I've subscribed to your patreon. Just wondering, as i see you also ed your models to "makerlab" for free. I guessing i will still need to buy the original model from here for example. Or would it be fine to use the free ones you gave on maker lab and of course still doing the patreon.

Many thanks,
Crafted Spoils

Hi! You're free to use the models ed on MakerWorld as long as the Patreon subscription is active, just be aware that some of them are outdated and don't have the newest versions with improvements. Good luck and happy selling!

Hello, I just wanted to ask a question im new to 3d printing and i was wondering how i would be able to print the sea monkey with multiple colors? (im using the neptune 4 with the elegoo software)

You would need a printer that s Multi-Color printing, such as Bambu Lab printers.
