hello i use this sprite mounting of you work great
only on 1 ptinter the probe is 2 low wondering the 3 versions
what dose these mean
+0.1
+0.3
+0.5
is this the hight of the probe ?

Hi, thanks for the , I am happy to hear the mount is working great for you.

The three versions are the size of the holes for the inserts / threads, relative to the true size. This is because FDM printers produce smaller holes than what is in the STL, so the holes in the STL have been made bigger to suit (e.g. on the +0.3 STL a 4mm hole would be 4.3mm). If you are not sure I recommend printing the +0.3 STL.

As for the probe height, it is the same as the OEM Creality parts, so all going to plan it should just bolt on and work fine. Are you using the standard sprite CR-touch probe? Are the wires for the CR-touch pinched underneath? This is easy to do (see instructions step 8), you can check this by making sure the CR-touch is sitting flush on the mount (no gap between the probe and mount). How much too low is the probe?

Nicely done. FYI I have one with a 0 Y +30 X for a sprite, so I think I get the lowest X offset crown. :)

Nice one you should share some photos

hello everything is fine? Can you tell me if you need to change the original firmware to use your leveling probe relocation model? Do you just need to send a g code to the machine and execute it?

Hi there, that's right, you don't need to change the firmware at all, just send the gcode to change the probe xy position in Pronterface

Hey, I re-purchased your mod again, gave it another shot and after the installation I really do like it since I'm able to get a wider bed probe size, however I am yet to find any compatible cooling upgrades. Is there any chance you have time to remix the following cooling mod linked below? It includes the STEP file so hopefully it's something easy you can do in a couple minutes with your skills. Even if it's a dual 5015 with a single duct just something we can use to complement your creation :)

Hey, glad the maxprobe backplate is working well for you and allowing you to use ABL over more of your bed. Unfortunately I don't have time to remix the model for you as it would take much longer than a few minutes, there might be something out there that does what you need though, potentially https://www.printables.com/model/147689-ender-3-s1-5015-fan-duct

I purchased this and and finally got it installed. I took a tape measure to the nozzle and probe. I am seeing 33.5 mm between the nozzle and probe but the instructions say 35 mm. Is this something I did or am I measuring it wrong? I am measuring center to center. I also had to print the 0.1 one, because my inserts could almost insert fully without heat.

No that is great, the closer the probe gets to the nozzle the more accurate it is. I just measured mine again and I get 34mm. It is going to change a little from printer to printer. I will update the instructions to say 34mm.

Maybe put instructions in how to measure for yourself? I just asked, because I tend to hyper focus to details and measure everything. I thought I got something wrong with it when I saw it was less than what you said. Like maybe I put the inserts in wrong or my printer's dimensions are off so it prints things differently.

No worries, I have updated the instructions to say 34mm, measuring within 1mm will make no apprecible difference to performance and is well within the expected accuracy from printing, adding inserts, installing the parts and measuring the distance

How does the the fan push air across the heat sink? It isn't shown in the pictures and it looks like it may not even be able to. Maybe post a picture of the air flow channel?

The airflow moves through a specially designed duct and es through the heatsink and works great, no issues with heat control after hundreds of print hours

Hello, is work too for same probleme on ender 3 v2 with sprite pro and cr touch ?
thanks
Cédric

Hi there, if you currently are using the standard Sprite Pro it should work, you will just need to make sure there is enough clearance for the CR-Touch probe in the home position. If you have at least 29mm clearance between the main extruder body / heat sink and the limit switch mount (or anything else that might clash) you should be good to go!

Hey hope you're good, in the comments I asked if this would work with a 4010 fan but it looks like it won't. Or were the files not ed?

Sorry I think I misunderstood your question, it is designed to work the standard fans, 4010 part cooling fan and 3010 heat break cooling fans, happy to refund you if this will not work for your setup

I'll take the refund and happily rebuy it if you make a 4010 version later on :) Thank you!

No problem at all, I have just requested that for you now

I am interest in your rig for the CR-10 Smart Pro. It looks great. I don't have a thread insert tool but I am up for ordering one if you can send a link or you mentioned having a model without the inserts. Is it worth buying a kit for the inserts?

Hi there, thank you for your interest.

I have ed some STLs that work without threaded inserts, I have labelled them prototype for now only as I may need to change the hole size slightly to get it to print well on a range of printers. If you have any trouble with the hole size I am happy to update the STL for you.

The threaded inserts I use are like this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005262135840.html, I recommend this type with the spiral knurling over the other types you can buy. I prefer using inserts for all my 3D prints as they are slightly stronger and make assembly a bit easier but they are optional.

Hope this helps

is your hotend running the original 3010 or 4010 ?

Hi there, it is running all the original fans

hello everything is fine? I printed the model but the cr touch was below the beak! my printer is s1

Hi there, I am happy to help, I just need some more information. Are you able to send through some photos? And can you please measure the length of your CR touch probe? If you prefer private messaging you can message me on Printables if you have an at https://www.printables.com/@MAXPROBE_842495

Hello budy, how are you ? I managed here by lowering the beak a little! follow some pics? if possible manage to make a recess of 0.2mm where the cr Touch goes By the way, the model is very good!

Thank you, I am glad you got everything sorted by adjusting your nozzle to the standard height, please let me know if you have any more questions
