Hi, I bought the 5015 full pack for all extruder, I have the X2, I'll make a ED3 hotend with volcano
#1 can you confirm that it's the E3D V2 files ?
#2 I suppose the if you made the asymmetric duct fan it's the one we should use avoid touch in the X motor , right ?
#3 how do we print the duct fan ? horizontal ? seem to have big bridges inside ?
thank you , regards
John

@Woo_j Thank you for your purchase.
#1 I confirm v2 is for Volcano
#2 That's right, in some printers the duck hit the X sensor, so we made the duck asymmetrical.
#3 The duck must be printed with the bottom in with the bed. The internal and external design allows printing without bridges. With a well-set printer it can be done and it is advisable to have the smoothest possible interior to avoid pressure drops in the air flows. You can put external bridges in the air outlet holes.

hello, thank you much ( I've not be noticed for your answer !) also do you have advice for a silent 5015 fan, I've tried 4 differents it's horrible noise ! also we have to change the wy we use , we can anymore put 100% do you have advice for power like with 5015 à 50% = 100% 4020 or some setting like that ? , I 'm almost about returning to a 4020 but with my new hotend but everybody say it's better 5015 ! thank you !! :-)

hi again, which part should I use, if I want to use a fan blower 4020? I'm not sure ; so with my new E3D hotend volcano and BMG ? ( I'm bit lost with all the link, thank you

Bonjour,

cordialement,

@Naseebramlakhan If you want to keep the blt in the original position X2, no our models are not compatible. While if our new position of the blt is fine with you then our models are compatible. You will have to change the location of the blt in the firmware. Ducking with a blt very close to the nozzle will never achieve the performance we achieved with our setups.

I am trying to print with this mount but I have problem with the fanduct. I have a nfcrazy mosquito hotend and I see at your files that u have BMG_MOSQUITO_DRAGON folder, Duct BMG-M folder and inside this folder u have again Duct BMG-M_5015_MosquitoDragon (HEX) and Duct BMG-M_5015_Mosquito (Inserts);.so my question is which fanduct is suitable for setup??

@Sfigas Sorry for the late reply. If you have already solved it, I'm sorry for not giving you my help.
If you haven't solved it yet, you can send images of your complete hotend to our email to help me better understand which duck to print.
However, the version you find on cults3d is only one, Mosquito Fan Duct v7. This dersion is compatible for both hotheads. The difference between nut and insert is that with the nut version you will need nut+screw. While the insert version you will need a threaded insert to fuse onto the duck + a screw

Hallo,

@Appenheimerz Sorry for the late reply. If you have already solved it, I'm sorry for not giving you my help.
If you haven't solved it yet, you can send images with measurements to our email to help me better understand your problem. If we manage to adapt the duck also for the S2 I will insert it in the zip on cults3d. During these days off I'm trying to answer all the questions in chronological order.

Hi,
Bought your files system.
However I've a problem. Currently my setup is with an hemera with a v6. And your duct was done based on one heat block orientation in mind...however with my setup I need it rodated 180 degrees. The duct hits the heatblock, and the Volcano one is too short. Can you address this to have this option? Thanks

See below
https://ibb.co/PhWPsq1

@Alta3dpstudio The hotend has been designed in this position to maximize the airflow and therefore the hotend must have the thermistor on the opposite side of the duct. But if you need to rotate the hotend I can help you modify the duct as shown in your figure, I will also try to rotate the holes directing them towards the nozzle but you will lose some efficiency. The problem will also be the thermistor cable, in this case it is inside the duct and may need more space for the cable to through but you will have already considered this.
us by Email so that I can send you the new duct as soon as completed. Hi

DVIROS
Hey buddy,
I have an LGX ACE Mosquito that I need an adapter for, to also in linear rails, Bltouch, EBB42 and 5015 fan, for Artillery Genius.
Can you help me with that? I have all the designs and I need a professional help to design them all together to fit right.
How can I reach out privately?

Many thanks,
D

@Dviros Hello, send the material to our Email that you find on our Cults3D profile. I hope it's 3D cad material and that I can adapt the many configurations we've already studied, because if we have to redo everything I'm afraid I don't have the time to dedicate them.

Thanks, sent you an email. Let me know how it works

i have volcano with bmg exstruder.. so i used the "bmg+v6" folder

@Shacharamrusi Fan 4020 or 5015? I advise you to ask us ask them under the DUCT page that you have ed and printed, in this way it is clearer for me.

Hello,
I ire your work. I have purchased some of your designs for the Sidewinder + BMG-M. I will probably have the latest 5015 design sls printed. But I wonder if you would consider doing a 90 degree 5015 design for the BMG-M. It is just that I like compact designs. Or maybe a 90 degree 5025 design (yes 5025 turbo fans exist)? Thanks in advance.

@Mfialho I am happy that our products are to your liking. The purpose of these projects is to have the utmost air distributed around the Nozzle with the smaller fan possible to contain the mass and therefore the vibrations. After many projects we came to the conclusion of drawing only efficient conducts and therefore 90 degrees is the opposite of efficiency. We found the excellent with the single 5015, this DUCT allows you, in some prints to partialize at 50%, to 100% allows you to use Nozzle from 0.6 to 80mm/s without problems. Then if you use Nozzle from 1mm and beyond the solution it is the double 5015 a lot of 360 degree air. The 5015 is a very powerful and small fan of use using larger fans is not ideal for our printer. I take advantage of telling you that the double 5015 is about to come out for the BMG+E3DV2V6 extruder.

Hey there
if i have BMG+volcano hotend what are the offsets (x and y) for me?

@Shacharamrusi I did not understand which dutct you printed and if you have connected the Volcano V2 directly on the BMG?

Hello friend:

I have been using his design for a long time for artillery x1 BMG+E3D v2-v6 ALL STLs.

The problem is that I decided to put in two 5015s and I bought and printed your design thinking that the ARTILLERY SIDEWINDER DUAL 5015 FAN FOR ALL EXTRUDERS design for volcano would work for me.

But no, because it's not the design with BMG and the two fans are too high from the nozzle, could you help me?

@Saulborrego Hi, I also received your email, I'm writing to you here too because otherwise Cults3D will get angry. However, you understood what to do to stimulate me to make new configurations. It won't be easy, I hope to solve it by changing only the adapter. I will you privately for updates.

Sir, thank you very much for your reply.

I think it is only necessary to change the adapter holes to be able to lower the fans to fit the BMG+volcano.
I have designed something very fast and ugly to be able to use it.
I look forward to your design being a thousand times better.

Thanks again friend for your answer and your work.

Hello, which one would you advise me to buy for a Sidewinder X1 where I want to install both a E3D V6 Hotend and a BL touch?

@Gypostalada Hallo, if you plan to install the BMG bondtech as well, then you will surely find the right configuration by ing the single 5015 fan, unfortunately we do not have for the stock artillery motor because it is not recommended to use it with that Hotend.

Hello, I ed this and also the single 5015 fan design, and I was wondering if I can use the motor cover in this/in the other design interchangeably. I saw in fusion 360 that they are a bit different but also that the x axis assembly is identical. In fusion 360 I saw that the single 5015 motor cover has one of the faces a bit more "filled in" than the double 5015 one, but there's also a small bit of the double 5015 cover that's not in the single 5015 one. I unfortunately don't know how to check if they would fit each other, and don't really want to waste the filament on both (and possibly a third, which I'll have to modify if none fits interchangeably). If you have both printed, could you please check that?

@Llamalmaowtf What extruder are you talking about? the volcano?

Yes, sorry for not mentioning

@Llamalmaowtf Single fan motor cover is not compatible with dual fan. If you want to print only one cover, I suggest you print the double fan cover which is also compatible with the single fan.

Hello,
Just ed and printed the volcano (insert version) version of the ARTILLERY SIDEWINDER SINGLE 5015 FAN FOR ALL EXTRUDERS.
My threaded inserts are smaller than the ones used as model. I edited the step files to re-print all needed parts, but the "Pivot Bracket v3 Inserts.step" has the TPU dampler and wire tie in it. Can you please provide "cleaned" STEP file please?

@Dlokoko Write to us in private, I will send you the clean part even without inserts.

I have used your models in the past and have loved them, I recently upgraded to a Revo with a Hemera Extruder. Do you have any plans on offering a mounting solution for the Sidewinder?

@Itswulfy If your setup is Hemera + Revo hothead only surely our Hemra v2 or v6 setup in Z will be fine. If you give me the diameter of the Revo I can see if we need to enlarge the duct. Write to us in private if you have the CAD directly in STEP of your setup, the check is faster.

Hi,
I have printed all the parts and mounted them on my X1 with BMG LGX and Mosquito Hotend.
The fan duct is not centered at all around the hotend. I tried both version and the fan duct is lower than the hotend!!
I striclty followed the explanation so is there a new verion somewhere I missed?
Thx

@Xmg67fr Send us photos on our email so I can understand the problem.

Hello, it's possibl to design it for sidewinder x2 ?

@Captn3m0 Our designs are compatible with the X2, but you have to move the bltouch. In our designs, the bltouch is in the Waggster position, if it has a different position you will find the coordinates.

Guten Tag,

Mathews

I could write it in english, if itˋs easier for you.

@Cobra2056 I didn't quite understand your configuration. In the Youtube video I see an E3D v6 but you say you have put a volcano v2 under the E3D. What is your configuration? We already have what you ask with 1 fan 5015, try to see the configuration show, inside you will find many solutions of brackets and ducts including the BGM E3D v2-v6, it is not the same configuration but our project has a lot of adjustment and if they are not enough we will help you to modify it. The dual fan is under development.

I ed an video, cause I am not at home to make an specific picture of the configuration.
https://youtu.be/BwumtXQkJUcH

Which of your designs will probably fit best?

@Cobra2056 You can this configuration 1 fan 5015: ARTILLERY SIDEWINDER SINGLE 5015 FAN FOR ALL EXTRUDERS https://cults3d.emulatorsite.com/en/3d-model/tool/5015-artillery-sidewinder-x1-dragon-mosquito-volcano-combo-duct
The right design for you is BMG + E3D v2.

Been using your Fanducts for a while, From bmg-dragon/v6 to LGX-dragon/mosquito and now i'm wondering if a LGX/Rapido is planned?
Was gonna use my Rapido Hotend on a Delta Printer i have but i can't design the effector so i'm going to swap the Rapido to one of my Sidewinders together with a LGX.
Would be nice if you do come up with a design and if the design as a "one the fly" or close for changing height between Rapido V6 and Volcano nozzles (Probably achieved by a sliding mechanism on the Fan+duct side with right tolerances).
Much love keep up the good updates.

@Sincegames I am not familiar with Delta and Rapido printers, I do not have the 3D parts and therefore I have not quite understood what your idea is. To make a project the 3D parts are essential to have the overall dimensions, the brackets fixing areas. If you have all these things write to us in private and let me understand your idea, if it is feasible and does not take me too much time I can think about it.

Sorry about the long time to respond, but i have been busy turning 3 printers into klipper and tuning and modding an Anycubic Predator.
I have the Rapido Hotend Step file which i have been using as a reference for the Fanducts aswell as the Effector Step file for measurement requirements.

Basically Delta printer Kinematics are more complicated than Cartesians or CoreXY since all 3 arms work together.
The effector is the part where all arms connect and the hotend stays. Basically the effector is moved by the arms connected.

You can reach me directly at [email protected] and i'll send you the files needed or i can link them here, as well as what i've been working on if it may help.
Since I have no idea how to even hollow out the fanducts i've been mostly working with other project stepfiles and making the fanducts longer at the base which isn't the right approach.

Hi,
is it possible to have this mounting configuration "ARTILLERY SIDEWINDER 4020 FAN DUCT V1-V2 46º VOLCANO" but with a 5015. Your newest 4020 mount is great, it is nice and stiff and stays in place. It wraps around the nozzle perfectly. I know you have "ARTILLERY SIDEWINDER SINGLE 5015 FAN FOR ALL EXTRUDERS" but not a fan of all the adjustability.

@Jkiejr When we started deg the volcano 5015, we tried to use the angled bracket of the 4020 fan. The size of the 5015 fan and the hole arrangement made me crazy to find a perfect configuration for the JLD brand. After a few attempts we decided on a complete redesign, and the 5015 config was born. The inclination of the fan is almost optimal, the duct designed specifically for the 5015 with the help of CFD and the brackets were designed light and with a lot of adjustment for make the duct fit the best. After all these efforts a configuration with other performances was born and this is demonstrated by the many s and the many compliments received in the comments and in private. This version is paid but only the first time, while all other versions of extruders are free and therefore if you want to upgrade the extruder you will not have to spend any more money, the dedicated duct and enjoy.

hello
I ed your different fanduts I have an artillery sidewinder X2 equipped with an lgx extruder and a hotend mosquito.
I can not how to install the printed parts.
I have the impression that it is necessary to change the motor / extruder so that there is no longer the plate in front.
is that right?
and if yes you have a engine / extruder to offer me? because I do not find in your different files.

thank you in advance.

@kimious33 We have the configuration you have, you will find it in the pictures it was added in the penultimate update of our 5015 single fan configuration. The ABL bracket can be found in the BMG-LGX-MOSQUITO folder, while the fan fan that you will need to print is that of the BMG-M.

Hi,

Would this work on Artillery Genius Pro? The x2 / Genius Pro came with ABL from factory so I don't need BLTouch mount. I was thinking I'd just leave that part off. But im not sure if your design allows enough clearance for the stock ABL sensor which is to the right of the stock fan. I'd love to see you remix this to be designed for the x2 / Genius Pro too.

Thanks!

Clay

@Onestepahead Excellent that Artillery has put the bltouch, but they have positioned it too close to the hotend and this does not allow any duct to wrap the nozzle. An asymmetrical duct does not guarantee proper airflow. The only solution and also simple to do is to move the bltouch outside.

I like the designs and believe that this is improving airflow.
But it would be really really great to have pictures like Benchmarks.
(Maybe the Fan Torture Test by Teaching Tech?)

Because for example, it is hard for me to pic the right fan (for my needs).

Kamoflashing,
We will some pictures of some torture test parts with our ducts shortly. Lorenzo is the only one with a Sidewinder now, I sold mine recently so I can't print with the ducts anymore.

Best,
Jake

Yes it should be compatible with the X2, as far as I am aware. Nothing changed on the brackets that would affect how it fits, if not, we can refund you should you so choose. We don't have an X2 to test it for "sure"
