After many, many failed prints, and 3 weeks of trying, I give up. I have cut it into 12 different pieces and I just can't get the cuts right. For $30+ CAD, I would expect a design that is suggested to be cut up by the author, to already have a file with the pieces already cut. This is frustrating to say in the least.
This is a beautiful design, and I would have loved to print it out for my daughter but at this point I have had enough.
Would I be able to get a refund please?

Hi! Usually the drone from the division is assembled without any problems. Are there any specific parts that don't fit or the whole thing?
yes i tried to assemble it , printed in petg and it doesnt fit at all
How am I supposed to split the design into parts? I am using Cura. I have tried to use the mesh tools, and it couldn't separate it.
Hi! I used Nettfab to cut complex models. Can you please tell me what model you need the splitting for, maybe I have the necessary ones?

Hi, I just purchased the dragon 3D print for my daughter, and the fails on Firefox. I tried Safari too, and I get a decompression failed error. Any ideas on what is going on? I am on an iMac.

Hello! As far as I know, you can cut a model for printing using different programs. Try Autudesk Netfabb
Do you have models pre-cut into parts for printing? I saw your recommendation to cut the models up and while I'm OK at modifying STL's, I have never cut up a model myself.
Hello! Yes, such models should be cut before printing. Unfortunately, I don't have any cut models yet. I can recommend the Autudesk Netfabb program

Hello! This is quite a difficult model to print. I would recommend cutting the model before printing to make the process easier.

Hi, first of all I love your design of the silk wing dragon. I didn’t realize when I purchased it that the file size was barely too large for the toybox printer my kids got over the holidays. Is there anyway to get the .stl or .obj file a bit smaller? I know it might mean sacrificing some of the detail but if I could get this to work I may buy all your other wings of fire designs in a smaller format for the toybox printer. My 8yo would be so excited.

Yes, the size of any model can be changed before printing at the model preparation stage in any slicer program. I hope everything works out for you

At first I thought the cost was quite high, but it made me stop to think about the economics of how much time you invest in making the models compared to how many you might expect to sell in order for it to be worth your investment of time. Hi Fomal. My daughter greatly enjoy your 3d models and is a big fan of Wings of Fire books. We recently purchased the "Dragon Wings of Fire Nightwing Tribe" model which is greatly detailed but she prefers the dragon mouth closed. Is this something you can modify for us? Thanks.
