Hello, I bought and printed the flexible manta ray and it is AMAZING!! I do have a question. Is there a license to purchase in order to sell the prints? I don't want to sell the file just the print. Thank you.

Printed on Ankermate m5c

Hello! I have a question for you. I have printed the flexi manta ray. The body of the ray comes out amazing, but the tail won't stay attached. The C's that connect sections to the next don't hold on well enough and they fell off immediately after removing the print from the print bed. I have no editing software to modify models... Is there any way you can turn the C's in the tail section into full O's to securely connect them to the ading segments? I'd be happy to test print if needed. I'd just like to print a solid model for my 11 year old to play/swim with where the tail doesn't detach from the body like a scared lizard. Thanks for your time, and for a fun model. -Tom D.

Hi Tom and welcome, thanks for ing the model ,
regarding your issue with hinges in the tail section
You mentioned that they come off cuz they are in C shape , I would like to inform you that they are already designed in an O shape attached together similar to a (chain) , and i do multiple test on the model before ing to cults.

To fix the issue your having, I recommend to use the following:
1- use 0.4 mm nozzle
2- check your wall thickness to be 0.45

3- you can scale up the model to the point where you see the hinges appear in an O shape
4- using cura slicer helps allot
5- it’s very important to recheck and review the model after slicing to layers . Zooming in the tail section to check the hinges are in an O shape and tuning the slicer sittings

Why you see a C shape
Explanation:

1- Your slicer sitting can’t read the hinges correctly, the hinges are designed in an o shape to the diameter of a 0.4 mm nozzle
2- not using a nozzle of 0.4 mm can cause the issue

Quickly fix it :
Just scale up the model as mentioned in point 3 up

Thank you again and , I wish you the best happy times with your family

Just bought your Flexible Manta Ray and tried printing 4 at 100% scale. the ts are way too thin and not a single one survived coming off the build plate. I then scaled to 200% and the ts are still way too thin. Again, did not survive coming off the build plate. Not prying off the plate either, bending the plate little by little to carefully detach, like I do any other chain mail or fabric print. Would very much appreciate a refund as this design is flawed and unusable.
Thank you

For the sections that did survive, they lasted about a minute before completely falling apart. That t cross section looks to be max 1mm thick at 200% scale.

hi FBARNOUX, welcome , thanks for ing the (flexible manta ray) i can assure you that this model has gone through multiple tests on variant printers and ed all tests , yes its not an easy model to print , however i don't any design without making sure it can print successfully on any printer around the world , you can see from my page 67 people have ed the file with no issues , (a refund will be sent to you gladly no issue at all), i really care about you being happy when ing any model from my page and I'm really sorry you felt disappointed , just to be fare kindly delete the files that you purchase from your devise ,,. wishing you a great print next time :)

Bonjour,

Hi , thank you for ing, sure I can help with that , but can you tell me what model you have ed?

c'est le porte stylo pneus

Hallo,

Sandra

Hi! I was wondering if you could make a 3D printable model of Mr Met, the New York Mets mascot. I am very bad at modelling and based off of your winged man model you seem fit for the task. Unfortunately I can't pay you but hopefully you'd be kind enough to do this for me, I will leave a link to a reference photo below, thank you.

Hi i recently ed your centipede model and i ran a section of it and it does not stay together! is there a possibility of making one that has no openings on the loops and has one less set of legs? I have a prusa mini+ and it just doesn't fit by one set of legs!

Sure , I’ll make a smaller one to fit in smaller bed, about the opening loop is designed to be snap click, it’s intended to be designed like that with that opening loop, so you can snap one out, and snap one in, also to use different colours, watch theYouTube video in description, or scroll to the last image. click here

I have Updated the file , Enjoy ♥
