Is it posibel to get permission to sell the models I print of your designs.. ?
Right now I currently sell models I print of my designs, so if I allowed that I would just be creating competition for myself. There might be a point where I open up a license for people to do this kind of thing (it would be a monthly price much like the other modelers do) but unfortunately I would have to ask that you don't until that time.
I understand
Hello!
I have two questions, first of all, is it possible/simple to separate the little rats from the main rat on your Rat King model? (I absolutely adore it)
Secondly, If I use this as a basis and alter it to have a set of functionalities (not a statue), would I be allowed to do private sales with it? (not commercial level)
Hello! For the first question, unfortunately I do not have a version of the model with the mini rats separate, it would take a bit more setup to do something like that and have it print properly. I'm glad you like it though!
Secondly, I do not allow private sales because I sell these files as figures myself, so if I allowed that I would just be creating competition for myself. I know some creators offer that kind of license for a monthly fee and if I adopt that kind of policy I will let you know.
Thank you for your answer!
Regarding the sales part, the changes I would be doing would include the rat separation, as well as many cuts and internal work in order to make this piece into a functional thing. In no way it would compete as well, the model would have a fundamentally different use and, as such, cater to a different audience. But even so, would you not allow it?
I would rather you not, sorry. My Zbrush file does have the rat separate and while I don't know if I'll ever go through that process- I'd rather not lose my ability to do so because someone else edited my file. Why not create a rat of your own?
