You'll have to specify what holes distance you want. Anyway, it's specified for which car and engine it fits so that's the easiest way to identify

Ahhh I understand what you're saying. The car is aligned on the floor, but the ZX plane will be at the left of the car. In theory, you can just translate the part sideways until the middle of the plane. I make this to avoid that any part of the car is in negative coordinates, which in some software (for example for renders) can create some awkward things!

I already used this scan to create my ducktail spoiler and other have also used, so I'm quite confident that the scan is ok!

hello, given the size of the part which is bigger than the plate of my bambulab P1P, I had to cut it into 4 parts, in PETG (I don't have an enclosure, but it will be ordered in a few months... to make it in ABS or ASA....) I am printing the 2nd part, and the part comes out well, it will just require a little polishing, BUT... I wonder if the fixing ''PINS'' will work. I am using the file MX5NA_GaugeCluster_Final_FINE.stl

A 3d scan is not a solid body, so you can't convert any scan to a solid body.

yes i know that its not a solid body but fusion actually can create a solid if the mesh is closed. this scan is not closed and doesnt have a positive volume. but i will watch that tutorial, thank you!

I managed to use forms to design a wing and then turn the form into a mesh, then use the scan mesh as a cutting tool to cut the wing to fit and lastly convert it to a solid/surface to print it.
trying to replicate it now for another design but still some trial and error haha!

can i ask a quick question?
I have tried with another model but the trunk mesh wont cut the wing mesh even though fusion says it has. is this due to the scan not having any volume and that the wing sticks though the scan? do i have to match the scan mesh surface better or what am i doing wrong? i cant how i solved it yesterday.

I use SOLIDWORKS so I don't know how Fusion works, but I have that problem in SOLIDWORKS if the scan doesn't fully intersect the solid. This can be due to spoiler coming out of the scan and/or scan having some holes.

Make sure the scan does not have holes in the area you're trying to intersect and that the spoiler is within the scan and doesn't come off/out

Hello, unfortunately I don't have any 2015 to test fitment. If you buy the file and it doesn't fit, if you send me the dimensions of the holes I can modify the file for you to fit it

Hello Minker. I had a look and it's not in one piece. It's in one STL but if you load it up in your slicer (Orca slicer for example) you can see the separated parts and then if you click (Split by Part) you should be able to put them in separated plates to print!

because you said in the info 30%- the medium, 50% and 80%

What's written is:

"I exported the high quality mesh into 4 settings:
- FINE: Raw high quality mesh
- MEDIUM: File size reduced by 30%
- COARSE: Medium File size reduced by 50%
- LIGHTWEIGHT: Coarse file reduced by 80%"

I mention file size, not scale or dimensions! It's a real car 3d scan so it's full scale 1/1 model!
