Description du Make

What a FUN build this was! Thanks to Jorge for creating this iconic Hot Wheels design! Printed in red Inland PLA. Tires printed in Inland TPU. Primed in light gray, painted main body and fenders cherry red. Helmet, and all other chrome parts painted bright silver metallic. I used a Molotow Chrome paint marker for touch ups. Printed on Prusa i3Mk3S. Sanded thoroughly with 120 grit, finished with 220 grit. Added a clear glaze coat to all red painted surfaces. Used a white paint marker to add air victory silhouettes to the exterior left side of the cabin. I used a wire hanger, approximately 2mm diameter, and added as front axle to give more stability and offer better rolling. I drilled through the rear axle assembly and inserted the wire as rear axle. I decided against adding the front fenders, mainly because I thought they might interfere with the front axle. But I also thought it gave the model more of a Hot Rod feels. Again, this was such a fun build. From the legendary 1969 Hot Wheels classic. Thanks again Jorge for such a great design!
