I play the tabletop game Battletech since the early 90th.
One of the biggest problems was the abstract optic of the two dimensional maps. Often it´s difficult two determine line of sight.
In the last monts and years I designed hills for many of my maps printable with a 3D-printer with filament.
The designs are completly selfmade and build from scratch.
I printed and tested them many times.
Sometimes there are two variations of the style of printing.
Your can print them solid from the bottom up or you can print each level flipped on the top and allign the levels later with glue.
The last way of printing saves a lot of time and material.
After printing I scanned the maps with a 2D-Scanner, printed them on Glossy Paper, cut and glued them on the printed hills.
It´s a big fun and pleasure to play on this maps in three dimension.
Now I offer all the STL files here on Cults3D.
Print and have fun!
