Makeโs description
Loved this idea to add storage for my 3D Printing hardware and tools... And decided to add some dramatic flair and New York Mets colors. The overall print took about 5 days with starts and stops and some error using the wrong filament on one of the parts.
Make sure if you use LED lighting, it's 8mm wide. The 10mm wide stuff will not fit. Also, make sure your power supply for that lighting matches. My strips were rated 12V, and initially I used a 12v to 5v step up converter and plugged it into a USB port.... But the converter got hot really fast. I decided to use a 12V Adapter and that worked just fine and no risk of it possibly doing damage to your area.
I plugged it in to a smart plug so I can turn it off and on without incident. That lighting really improves timelapses and overall visibility when monitoring a print.
Another note: Do follow directions... I winged it a couple of times which led to some of the snap on parts being put on before they should.. I was able to fix, but just be careful.
It's very sturdy. My wife loved how it had storage for build plates and figured it was time to get those build plates that leave holographic things on the printed object...
