Raytheon AIM-9L Sidewinder Missile Control Section Assembly

This is my extreme detailed 3D printable replica of the Raytheon AIM-9L Sidewinder Missile Control Section Assembly. Every effort was made to include EVERY detail as accurate as possible. Canards are rendered from real AIM-9L Canards I own.
A complete fastener and hardware list is included so you don't have to go crazy trying to figure out what you need or where to get it. The list I provide has all real U.S. Military Mil-Spec Standard Fastener part numbers, but you can substitute with hardware store fasteners. Most fasteners have McMaster Carr or Amazon parts numbers. eBay is also a good place to source hardware. This can be used to directly order parts or as a reference of what substitutes to order.

3D printing settings
​I used an Ultimaker 2 Extended+. Smaller parts at .16mm layer height and .2-.24mm for the larger parts. Most parts don't need . The is minimal for the parts that need it. I print exclusively with 3DXtech Carbon Fiber PLA. The rigidity of the Carbon Fiber enables thinner, more accurate parts. 100% infill, 2mm perimeters. Only a few parts need s and it's a small amount of s.

0.16 to 0.24 Works well. I like to use Carbon Fiber ASA. It stand up to outdoor heat
