Excellent design! I want to print this, but for my slatwall instead of a pegboard. Any chance you could the original design files, so I could modify them for my use case?
I will design something up and send it to you to try. I do not have any slatwall to test with so I will need your .
I was able to modify the STL. I really only needed to remove the pegs from the back of the track, and then I added my own slatwall adapter. I have a few sets printing right now. Then I'll see if I can modify it for 1/4" drive and 1/2" drive
Ok nice - try this one - https://cults3d.emulatorsite.com/en/3d-model/tool/slatwall-socket-wrench-mount-beta
Awesome, I'll give it a shot. Thanks!
With the pegboard the lateral spacing is fixed so I went in the dovetail design to allow for some flexibility. With a slatwall lateral adjustment not restricted so I dropped the dovetail and went with direct mount with a lock to secure the position.
Excellent point. The way I modified your design ends up with a lot of unnecessary filament wasted since I still need to print the track. Your modification is a lot more filament efficient. I have 2 sets printing now, so when those finish I'll switch to your slatwall design for the rest. Thanks again!
Lets me know how the tool fits on the wall and if the lock holds it securely. What type of wall you have would be helpful as well. Thanks!!
It is a proslat: https://proslat.com/products/8-ft-x-4-ft-pvc-slatwall-4-pack-128-sq-ft
The socket holder seems like it would fit great, but because of the insertion angle, the top edge and the socket pegs jam against the wall. I broke my first print trying to force it in. The proslat has a trim piece on the edges, so I can't slide it in from the end. I'm going to print another one in a bit, and see if I can peel back the trim to slide it in
Thanks for the input. I will need modify the design and find a friend with a slatwall to test the fit. I printed a slatwall section using internet found slot dimensions of 12mm wide x 3mm thick lip but that must not be accurate.
I got a hold of the PVC Slatwall and modified the design. Works great with the stuff I have here. Let me know how it fits with the ProSlat brand. Thanks! https://cults3d.emulatorsite.com/en/3d-model/tool/slatwall-socket-wrench-mount-beta
