Overview

Upgrade your ELEGOO Neptune 4 Plus with the Top Shelf Kit, a 3D-printable solution designed to expand your workspace. This kit allows you to install a sturdy shelf above your printer for organizing tools, filament spools, or other accessories. With -free STL files, you can easily print the parts and assemble them using commonly available hardware. This kit is compatible with both the stock spool holder and third-party filament setups.

1. Top Shelf Base Left v6.stl: Left-side shelf mount base
   
2. Top Shelf Base Right v6.stl: Right-side shelf mount base
   
3. Filament Sensor Extender v3.stl: Extends the filament sensor position
   
4. Spool Holder Extender v4.stl: Extends the stock spool holder position
   
5. Top Shelf Arm v4.stl: Arm to the shelf (compatible for both sides)

Required Additional Components (Not Included)

• Shelf Board: Recommended size 450mm x 300mm x 10mm
  
• M3 Nuts: 6 pieces
  
• M3 Bolts (10mm length): 8 pieces
  
• M3 T-Nuts: 4 pieces
  
  • For the bases: 1 for each side (2 total)
    
  • For the Filament Sensor Extender or Spool Holder Extender: 2 total
    
• M3 Washers (8mm outer diameter): 2 pieces (used when attaching the bases to the V-slot)

Assembly Instructions

1. Attach the Base and Arm:

   • Insert the arm into the square hole of the base, and secure it using M3 nuts and bolts.
     

2. Temporarily Attach the Base:

   • Attach the base to the V-slot on top of the ELEGOO Neptune 4 Plus using M3 T-nuts, M3 bolts, and M3 washers (8mm outer diameter).
     
   • Leave the connection loose for now to allow for adjustments later.
     

3. Attach the Arm with the Clamp:

   • Use the clamps to secure the arms to the printer's vertical poles. Loosely fasten the clamps using 2 M3 nuts and bolts for each side.
     

4. Temporarily Place the Shelf Board:

   • Lightly place the shelf board on the arms to align its position. Once aligned, tighten the arms fully.
     

5. Secure the Bases:

   • Remove the shelf board and tighten the bases fully to the V-slot.
     

6. Install the Spool Holder or Filament Sensor Extender (Optional):

   • For the stock spool holder: Attach the Spool Holder Extender to the base using 2 M4 bolts.
     
   • For third-party spools: Attach the Filament Sensor Extender to the base, and mount the filament sensor onto the extender.
     

7. Attach the Shelf Board:

   • Finally, place and secure the shelf board on the arms. Your setup is now complete!

Important Notes

• Load Capacity: The load capacity depends on the material and infill settings of the printed parts as well as the shelf board material. Ensure sufficient strength for heavy items.
  
• Prevent Falls: Make sure items on the shelf are securely placed to avoid accidental falls.
