Below is a complete system for my 41+ phone stands. Everything is free with your initial $2 - $5 investment per version. Every base, every bottom, every piece of bling is free along with the bling trays and gift boxes. There's lots of bling and I'm adding more, along with flowers for Mother's Day. Help and advice are free: I want you to have massive success and sell many models.

But you have to do the work. Every unit has a designer phone stand, a base, a bottom, bling and a gift box.

Base models have 0-4 pieces of insert jewellery. Bike and car models have that and up to 7 additional pieces; 2 for the front and 5 at the rear.

Base models sell for $50 with a Voronoi bottom; blinged out high end goes for $100+. Double that for personal custom.

To sell multiples of these phone stands you will need to set up a mini bling factory: print a few trays and fill them with bling.

I use an X1C for the stands and gift boxes, a mono A1-mini for bases and bottoms, and an A1-mini AMS 0.2 nozzle for bling, mostly silks.

The stand has slots for a pencil, stickynote pad and a full size Bic lighter. The bottom has room for a phone charger, cable and adapters.

It works great and it looks great.

A 3 piece modular system.

1) Phone Stand that works standalone and permits charging at the edge of a desk.

2) Charging Base allows the Phone Stand to be used anywhere while charging by cable.

3) Storage Bottom for fixing the Charging Base to a work surface or toolbox using adhesive or double-sided tape. The Storage Bottom is optional and not required to use the Charging Base or Phone Stand but does make a great stash box. Available in several styles: original, voronoi with/without floor, lace stockings, original w. cable gap delete, voronoi cable gap delete, honeycombed and Camaro Special.

The Charging Base and Storage Bottom are common to all versions of Ghosted Phone Stand v1. These files are not included with all v1 Phone Stands and may be ed from here.

The Phone Stand

• Tested with several dozen late model smartphones.

• Text and logos are separate objects and can be printed in different colours. Many models are able to be printed in 6 or more, with some capable of 20 or more: .3mf files included or available.

• The middle storage area has 3 features:

  • An angled tray allowing storage of a sticky note pad, with special retainers keeping the pad from sliding out.
  • A notched pencil holder, ergonomically designed to accommodate both lefties and righties.
  • A Bic lighter tray with large radius filleted ends for easy removal. Fits the big one nicely.

Assembly:

• See picture 'Build Plate'. The 2 folds are best done while still warm and flexible. Apply bend pressure at the seams and avoid curling the surfaces. Prior to folding apply a few drops of glue where the tray mates with the front.

• See picture 'Detail A'. Squarely insert the end into its mating slot and press down until the locking tang engages. It should click into place but sometimes just slides in without a sound. Press the t firmly together then gently tug at the connection to success and add 2 drops of super glue to the backside.

The Charging Base

• The Charging Base v1 also prints face down, with a single fold that creates the Phone Stand Integral Retaining Platform. Best done warm, gently fold the Platform into place, then add several drops of super glue to bond the Platform to the Charging Base. Refer to Integral Platform.gif. A simple Pressure Plate file is included and, once printed, is used with a little weight to protect Platform features and evenly distribute pressure while the glue sets. The Pressure Plate is optional but saves effort when printing and gluing multiple Bases. PETG-CF lays down real nice using the Pressure Plate, a Storage Bottom for and adding more weight.

• The Integral Retaining Platform has 2 small catches along one edge: the Phone Stand is installed upon the base by first engaging these catches then gently pressing down at the opposite edge.

The Storage Bottom

• My old car guru liked the first Phone Stand prototype so much he glued it to his roll-away toolbox. Every version since needed a way to get stuck in place. Handy stash box is a nice bonus.

Notes:

• Each main component takes about 1 hour to print.

• The pieces fit snug; lifting by the top will not separate the pieces.

• All items have been field tested in home, office and shop environments.

• The components were designed using the X1Carbon @ 0.4, default settings where possible and 8% infill with Bambu PLA -Metal -Silk -CF and PETG-CF. Logo's and text tested with the same and PETG.

• PETG-CF Bases & Bottoms in Brick Red, Indigo Blue,Titan Gray, Malachite Green and black. With PETG-CF, large flat thin surfaces need to be peeled off the plate; half the Charging Base puts up a fight. The Storage Bottom is fine. Not gonna try the Phone Stand.

• Avoid PETG for the Phone Stand body as the folding ts do not age well. PLA-Silk can be used for the body but be careful during assembly.

• Avoid PLA-Silk for the voronoi storage bottom.

• All items were printed using a texture plate for speed and cleanliness. Smooth plates should work well but glue and me don't like each other.

• If you want it plain (no text or logo), print the objects with the same filament as the body. Deleting them will leave a void.

• Base Bling .3mf added and will be updated as more bling evolves. Design was to press fit into honeycomb but different expansion ratios means some may need a touch of glue. Be aware the fancy stars have a 2 layer center recess for gems.

Avoid using PETG for the Phone Stand except for text or logos.

Each component takes about 1 hour to print with a 0.4 nozzle; more colors more time. There are a couple 0.2 prints; they take >5 hours.
