Evangelion unit 01 (rebuild) 30cm articulated action figure

It might be necessary to sand some of the parts down a bit since it's still a 3D print. I also recommend using a heat source, such as boiling water or a heat gun/hairdryer (but do not use an open flame, such as from a lighter, as this will deform the plastic beyond repair and ruin your paint application ).

If you are FDM printing this action figure, a standard 0.2mm layer height will be fine. You could always go lower depending on your patience, but the figure will still look good with the standard 0.2mm layer height.

I also want to add that you will need to print this figure in a tough filament or resin. You should use PETG filament for the important ts, such as the knees, elbows, midsection, ankles, and preferably the chest as well, although it is not absolutely necessary to build the figure, PLA will do fine but will definitely get loose very quick.

I have not printed this action figure in resin, so I cannot say with certainty how it will hold up over time. However, most anti-impact or tough resins should work fine.

You will want to print the head in a lower layerheight for the crisp details. Assembly guide is included in the files

print the ts in PETG, the rest like the chest, legs, forearms etc will be fine in PLA. print the head on 0.08 mm layerheight for nice details. sanding certain parts might come in handy, especially if printed on FDM machines. the parts are already scaled to fit the design, i do not up/downscaling this figure to keep the clearences in the ts stable. s are definitely necessary. most of the time normal trees will do the job but if that gets into the sculpt too much try normal, or even modified to fit FDM machines resin s.
